The project

Wilderness Stories from Europe is a blog page to follow up the earlier photography project in Majella National Park, which aims to collect articles from wilderness advocates all across Europe.

Why?
Wilderness. Biodiversity. Rewilding. Conservation. Keywords of  wilderness protection, modern ecology and the challenges for ’man-and-nature coexistence’. But for many people, these words are still with no meaning. Therefore, there is a need for a simple, yet effective instrument to explain these and bring them closer, help us understand what’s happening in nature.

What?
In the past 5 years, PAN Parks Foundation in cooperation with other partners such as Wild Europe, WWF and Europarc managed to create a unique wilderness momentum in Europe. This blog page is to provide a forum for scientists, photographers and other wilderness advocates to express opinions, post news and scientific results and documenting the beauty of wilderness. We will not only use articles, but also images and videos in order to share also emotions. The posts will focus on the protection of wilderness, but there will also be articles dealing with the restoration of wilderness attributes in Europe.
